Jai · Just Ask It

Jai: automated company research,
judged by AI.

Jai searches the web for companies, reads their websites, and has an AI model decide which ones fit a brief. Built and tested at 26io Techlab, and available as a custom build tuned to your market.

The problem

Finding the right companies by hand takes weeks.

Bought lead lists are stale and loosely matched. Doing it by hand means opening thousands of websites and deciding, one by one, whether each company could use what you sell.

One 24-hour run

What it did in a single run.

Four briefs searched in parallel, October 2026.

41,112
companies checked

found by search across 62 cities on four continents

18,057
judged a fit

accepted by the AI model against each brief

24 h
unattended

one continuous run, with no one watching it

51 / 51
test cases agreed

a second AI model checked the judge and agreed every time

How it works

Five steps, no human in the loop.

  1. Step 1

    Search

For each brief, it runs targeted searches city by city through a private search engine. It spaces out requests and stays within daily limits, so it stays light on the services it uses.

  2. Step 2

    Read

It fetches each company's homepage at a slow pace and respects the site's robots.txt rules. Sites that only render with JavaScript go through a guarded browser, one at a time, with a hard time limit.

  3. Step 3

    Judge

An AI model reads that summary and decides whether the company fits the product, and writes down why. A second model agreed with it on 51 of 51 test cases.

  4. Step 4

    Record

For companies that fit, it notes the business contact details the company itself publishes for enquiries. Never named individuals, never guessed details.

  5. Step 5

    Export

Results land in one clean Excel file: a summary, every company that fit with the reason why, and one sheet per brief, with repeats across briefs flagged.

Built to run unattended

Made to survive a long, unattended run.

  • Runs unattended for 24 hours and resumes from where it stopped after a crash.
  • Runs four briefs in parallel.
  • Stops cleanly when a stop file is dropped in its folder.
  • Writes a plain log with a summary line per product, so progress can be checked in seconds.
  • Skips countries on a sanctions list.

Built with Python, a private search engine, a guarded browser for JavaScript sites and a language model.

Limits

What it doesn't do.

  • It works at company level only. It does not profile named people.
  • The AI judge decides fit from the website alone. It can be wrong when a site is thin or out of date.
  • It researches and sorts. It does not contact anyone.
