How is Evi different from other AI assistants?
Evi puts the everyday jobs in one place: web search, files, photos, projects and a memory you control. It's free to start, with no card. It is also careful with photos of people: it offers to erase them straight away, erases them within 24 hours either way, and never saves how anyone looks to its memory.
Does Evi search the web?
Yes. When a question needs current information, Evi runs a live web search and answers from what it finds.
Can Evi read documents I upload?
Yes. Evi reads PDF, Word, text, Markdown and CSV files, plus photos and screenshots. It answers from the file itself and quotes the relevant part when precision matters.
What happens to photos of people I upload to Evi?
Evi checks each uploaded photo for a human face. If it finds one, it suggests not sharing photos of people with any AI service, offers to erase the photo right away, and erases it within 24 hours either way. How anyone looks is never saved to Evi's memory. Photos without people stay with the chat like any other file.
Is Evi related to Hume AI's EVI or Amazon's Evi?
No. Evi is built by 26io Techlab and is unrelated to other assistants named Evi, including Hume AI's Empathic Voice Interface (also called EVI) and the Amazon-acquired Evi.
Is Evi free to use?
Yes. Evi is free, with no card. Use comes from io credits, a free monthly balance on your 26io account: 500 a month, plus one 250 refill if you run out. The same balance covers Kus and Revmosys.
What are io credits?
io credits are the free monthly balance on a 26io account. One balance covers Evi, Kus and Revmosys. Every account gets 500 io credits a month, and once they run out you can refill once for 250 more. New accounts get 100 credits for their first 7 days. Each product shows the balance and a refill button. There is nothing to pay and no card to add.
